Days Inn | Exterior Paint One Sheeter
The Brief
Help drive franchisee adoption of the new Days Inn by Wyndham exterior paint scheme. Existing materials focused primarily on paint specifications and color swatches—giving owners the information they needed, but not necessarily helping them visualize why they should make the investment. The program itself included detailed specifications across multiple approved paint suppliers.
The Solution
I shifted the communication from specification to inspiration. Instead of simply showing owners a palette of approved colors, I created a one-sheet featuring real Days Inn properties that had already completed the transformation—allowing franchisees to immediately see how the new scheme could modernize and elevate their own hotel.
The design put the finished product front and center, using large-scale property photography and minimal copy to let the transformation sell itself, while the accompanying materials provided the technical specifications owners needed to execute it.
The Craft
The project combined creative direction, graphic design and franchisee communications, turning a technical brand-standard update into a more compelling visual sales story.
The Result
By showing owners the potential rather than simply telling them what colors to use, the new collateral helped drive additional adoption of the paint scheme across the Days Inn system—demonstrating how thoughtful creative can help turn a brand standard into something franchisees actually want to implement.
